Heroku Postgress

Heroku Postgres is the SQL database service run by Heroku that is provisioned and managed as an add-on. Heroku Postgres is accessible from any language with a PostgreSQL driver including all languages and frameworks supported by Heroku such as Java, Ruby, Python, Scala and Clojure. It allows to scale vertically by choosing from a range of plans which dier based on the size of their hot-dataset, the portion of data available and optimized on-the-fly in high speed RAM. It also allows to scale horizontally by adding read-only followers that stay upto- date with the master database. Other cloud-hosted Postgress services include EnterpriseDB. Xeround is a cloud-hosted database service for MySQL database systems.
